Hi! I'm glad you found me! I am flattered and honored you took the time to look for my page.
I love writing! It is a great way to learn new things and share them with other people. I write for children, grown-ups, and everyone in between.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am the youngest of four siblings. I have one brother and two sisters. I was born on January 1st, the first baby born in St. Joseph, MO 1964! My middle name is Kay. My favorite color is sparkly candy-apple red. I am married to Jim. I have a daughter named Ivy Rose and a dog named Cossette. I live in Parkville, Mo.
When I am not writing or being a mommy, I am a school librarian to about 400 kids in the Kansas City, MO School District. My daughter and my school kids are my greatest source of inspiration for the stories and articles I write. They keep my imagination rolling!

One of my best memories of childhood is walking to the Bookmobile with my mother and sisters. We had to walk several blocks to meet the Bookmobile. Mother's rule was that we could check out as many books as we wanted, but WE had to carry them home. She wasn't about to lug all those books herself!
My parents, grandmother, and teachers gave me a love of reading and writing I treasure to this day. This love of words built the path for my life.
